Municipal Responsibilities
?? ? ? ? ? ? As a town municipality, the Rangsit? Municipality has the responsibilities in accordance with the Municipality Act B.E. 2496 (1953) and additional responsibilities which can be divided into 2 sections namely compulsory and optional responsibilities as the followings.

- Maintain orderliness among the people.
- Create and maintain walkways and waterways.
- Keep clean of the roads, walkways and public places.
- Prevent and eliminate contagious diseases.
- Provide fire extinguish devices.
- Provide education for the people
- Encourage the development of women,
children, senior citizens, and the disables.
- Maintain arts, tradition, local wisdom and local culture.
- Other responsibilities stated by law.
- Provide clean water or water irrigation.
- Provide slaughter house.
- Provide and maintain places for protection and care of
people with illness.
- Provide and maintain water drainage system.
- ?Provide and maintain public toilets.
- Provide and maintain electricity or other means of illumination.
- Allowing the pawn service or local pawnshop

- Provide markets, boat and ferry piers.
- Provide cemeteries and crematoriums.
- Encourage people?s employment?and earning.
- Provide and maintain places?for protection
and care of people?with illness.
- Provide and maintain hospitals.
- Provide public reparation.
- Organize necessary activities concerning public health.
- Establish and maintain vocational schools.
- Provide and maintain places for sport and physical education.
- Provide and maintain public parks, zoos, and recreational areas.
- Improve deteriorated areas, and keep clean of public spaces.
